Every time we go... To a resort whether business or pleasure, we see furnishings that make us cringe like seeing a toddler too close to the edge of the Grand Canyon. There truly are some dangerous combinations of furnishings and settings. Not surprisingly, the restaurants, bars, and lounges fair the worst. Not far behind are the outdoor lounge and pool areas. When evaluating a location, we’ll spend a full day walking through an entire complex itemizing each applicable furnishing. With each, we’ll evaluate the suitability, durability and safety based on our experience. The other incredibly important facet that we evaluate, is the ability for the furnishing to wear and function as it should for the expected service life. Nothing is more important to a resort than “resort image”. After our inspection, we'll prepare a detailed report telling you which furnishings are going to give you headaches. There is no getting around it... Every bunk bed and crib sold in the United States MUST comply to the Consumer Products Safety Commission Federal Requirements. We’ve tested bunk beds and cribs, and all other juvenile furniture of every conceivable configuration. There's a lot involved, and great care is required to make sure all hazards are eliminated. Special test blocks and forms are utilized to ensure all neck entrapment, pinch points, sharp edges, and protrusions comply with Federal Regulations. There are a myriad of required dimensions for safety rails, ladders, and more to guard against falls. The warning labels, instructions, literature, and even the packaging have multiple requirements, and are extremely precise on what must be present. A lot of our hardware clients... Require salt spray and humidity testing. These are to ASTM B 117 and BHMA A156.18 standards. We also do KCMA and SEFA chemical exposure tests. Grouped in here is flammability testing. We can perform your flammability requirements on furniture products and coverings to most of the available methods and requirements.
